The Department of Botany at Mohammadpur Kendriya College is dedicated to excellence in teaching and research in plant sciences. Established to provide a solid foundation in botanical studies, the department offers both Honours and Master’s programs under the National University of Bangladesh. Our curriculum emphasizes plant physiology, taxonomy, ecology, genetics, and biotechnology—preparing students for both academic and applied scientific careers. With access to modern labs, fieldwork opportunities, and a rich seminar library, students engage in hands-on learning that nurtures critical thinking and scientific inquiry. The department also encourages participation in green initiatives and research-based projects. Our mission is to foster a deep understanding of the plant world, equipping students with knowledge and skills to address global environmental challenges through science and sustainability.
